    Hi,

Is this a decent spec of a 14year old - not so much COD gaming - more Roblox/some indie Steam games.

Got it from PC Specialist in UK. I'm open to any suggestions of anyone has seen any Irish Black Friday deals! I need a gaming monitor/mouse/keyboard in bundle!

    Budget about €1300

    Thanks!

    Buying semi-local:

    Lenovo G24-10 (150eur) + PCSpecialist machine with a 2x faster GTX 1660 Super (1180eur)

Better monitor: MSI Optix G241 (IPS) (180eur)

edit the build you have above is terrible value.

Up the RAM speed to 3000MHz or more. It won't save you money to get the slower stuff.

Thanks! - Is the spec above from Kiki 3000Mhz?

Many Thanks - Reviews on PC Rig seems to be poor though? Granted - only 2 reviews given...

The PC linked is miles better. A GTX1650 is super low-end, obviously fine for Roblox and Minecraft but before the ongoing shortage hit it's the kind of card you would have seen in €600 PC's.

The OP PC is also incredibly unbalanced, high-end overclockable CPU on a non-overclockable motherboard with a bargain basement graphics card.

Also the 2nd PC linked on Littlewoods is literally from the same company as the first PC you linked, just supplied by Littlewoods. Again, it's a way better rounded gaming machine.

Sorry for stupid question, but can I buy direct for Littlewoods? I thought they had some messed up subscription plan previously?

EDIT - Joined Littlewoods and just used credit card...

I wouldn't chance buying from the UK nowadays, you'll get mugged for customs

That rig that K.O suggests is indeed better and you can get a decent gaming monitor for about 250

Cheers. Just ordered it. Shipping was €5!

Thanks for the advice all. I'm now confident I'm made the right choice. One happy lad on Christmas morning! He's no idea - which is always good!

I will set it up in my office ahead of time to be sure all is OK.

Thanks again to everyone and special shoutout to K.O.Kiki!

On that PC you recommended... do I need to buy speakers or are they included?

If so any ideas for affordable options?

    Thanks

You generally have to buy speakers seperate, unless it's a specific package deal. We got our daughter [also 14] a gaming PC, I bought the main system used because it had better spec for the money than anything new, but added a new monitor, keyboard/mouse/headset and will be adding speakers too. She likes red and black theme [the PC does had red rgb fans and the monitor has a red accent] so was looking at these:

She doesn't need anything fancy, just basic/decent sound, not going to get her any kind of sub woofer set up or we'll pay for it in headaches in the long run :D she'll use a head-set mostly
