Fastway Couriers - delayed and now missing parcel

I sent a parcel to a guy in Mayo last Monday 15th November via Fastway. I dropped it off at the collection point in my local Supervalu, paid the fee and thought he'd have it in a few days. However I kept an eye on the tracking and each day passed and the package appeared to still be in Supervalu. My daughter who works there part time confirmed to me on Thursday that it hadn't been picked up by Fastway. I tried to phone them but they apparently don't take calls anymore as an answering machine directs you to email them. So I emailed them on Thursday and finally got a reply this morning to say it had been picked up but no explanation as to what took so long. I just checked their tracking and it says "returned to etailer". Wtf does that mean? I was sending it to a guy in Mayo, not returning it to anyone.

This shower are beyond a joke. I only used them because the guy said they were the only couriers who would deliver to his house as its isolated. Is there a complaints mechanism I could use against Fastway as my parcel has disappeared into the ether, the recipient hasn't got it and Fastway don't provide any explanations as to what happens to your parcel.

It would suggest there was a problem with the address/contact details

Supervalu should have notified them of a collection too.

The address and contact details were correct, I have a photo of the parcel taken before it was sent as proof.

Fastway won't return any of my emails, there's no number to call and their online chat function fails to get a response. Who can I complain to about this as the parcel contained goods to the value of €130 and cost €17 to ship. The recipient has confirmed as of this morning that he hasn't received it.
