Aquasystems Expansion Vessel charge

    Hi all.

    I have an Aquasystem ARB24 EV needs charging but it won’t take a charge via the Schrader valve. I’ve isolated the vessel and opened Hot/Cold valves downstream and opened a hot/cold tap to relieve water pressure. Attached bicycle pump but when I try add air it feels like there’s a big back pressure preventing me from adding air. What am I doing wrong? Should I open every hot/cold tap in the system? Valve is working in so far as it allows depressurisation (without leaking any water through the valve) and accepts a pressure gauge (which shows approx 2 bar)

    I have come across a EV where the membrane was stuck hard up against the schrader valve and I removed it from the water end and then replaced (same one) it back in the EV and had no problem pre charging it then. Originally it was lifting the safety valve on a little electric (Argos) air compressor that I use on my car tyres.
