If the members committee made the decision to employ an outside contractor, and this committee was elected by the members, you

could try asking for support from fellow members in calling for an EGM

Yes, egm was last Friday .. very toxic meeting with members abusing and intimidating other members. It was extremely upsetting to see . It was like what’s happening in seapoint at the minute . The contractor was at the egm promoting themselves just before the vote.. the chair also urged to vote in favour which it outside his remit . The chair refused to allow any discussion about staff , stating this doesn’t affect staff .. obviously it does after reading the siptu statement.

The question was asked of how much this is costing the club and the answer we got from the table was that we won’t be told as it’s commercially sensitive. So we, the members weren’t even told how much this is costing us.

Potentially conflicts of interest at play there when using Contractors (potentially friends/family). Info should be released

Carr Golf from what I understand. They'd probably be the best in the business tbf.

Still potential conflicts there. Doesn’t matter how good they are. Costs need to be released to members especially in a case where they already had staff anyway.

Not a good look for the club , Is it true an email, went out, telling the members. That management would not discuss the Course staff situation with their members earlier this year? I know a member in Stackstown who is certainly not happy with events over the last two years.

Yes that is true regarding the staff. An email went to members stating there are no issues with staff and it won’t be discussed about again.. mgmt sent that knowing full well there XXXXXXXXX
