Improving upvc windows

I have pvc windows that are 17 years old and not as good as they used to be. There's no way I could afford to replace them.

Are there any simple things I could do to improve them? If I replace the seals on the opening windows are they a universal size? Is there any other steps I could take?

The hinges could need replacing in some cases also. Noticeable where you see a gap between frame and seal on the hinge side. It is a DIY job to replace if you are handy. Alignment can be tricky but there are youtube videos. Screwfix among other places stock these - come in different lengths.
