Concrete base for Oil Tank

    Hi,

I'm putting in a new oil central heating boiler and hope to move the oil tank to a different location. Question is how deep should I have the concrete base for the tank and do I have to reinforce it with anything. Presuming the tank will be 750/1,000 litre capacity.

    Thank you

    Regs attached. See p49.

Non-combustible bases may be constructed of: concrete at least 100 mm thick, stonework or closely positioned paving stones at least 42 mm thick or a purpose built stand.

You don't have to reinforce it, but it's easy to do and means less effort in the ground prep.
