Hi folks

I Have battery masterclipp clippers I bought in the UK. 2 years ago.its starting to get hot after around 5 cows are done .

Question is anyone know who repairs these in Ireland.

You'd be best contacting them in UK and asking if they have an Irish agent. The Irish agent in all likelihood would just forward them to UK for the service.

When you say the edge is going what do you mean? Did you get the overheating issue sorted?

This UK based business looks like they do it.

You could contact Clippers Ireland and ask them if their in-house repair place could look at them. More than likely to say no as it isn't their product, but they might say yes or point you in the right direction.

Another option would be a power tool repair business.

Someone on here is bound to know of an independent local repair business that would take on the work though without have to ship it to the UK. Maybe ask in your local Co-Op or whereever sells them if their repair shop would take a look at them.

Talk to a local that shears sheep, they can be sharpened, 5 min job, it will get hot if the combs and cutters are not sharp.

Going off topic but are the Clipster the best of the value brand clippers out there.

Would be used for dagging sheep and shaving cattles backs and tails.

I just bought a Clipster. How many cattle backs could I cut before blade is blunt? . I did about 50 and ain't sure if I cleaned it would it cut more. Battery cut about 30 before I changed.

Make sure and keep it lubed up and it should fly through 50.

I did 80 with a new blade I bought from Amazon, €20 great job.

I use wd40 silicone lube while clipping and give it a good clean afterwards.

Can you use cooking oil or anything like that?

we use a mix of 3 parts hydraulic oil 1 part diesel and dip the head into it when clipping cattle, when dagging sheep we use an oil can

using the above cutters and comb no issues get in under the dirt and clip away, if that's not possible it will cut through it , it will take a bit longer but shouldn't block.
