UEFA Fining Pitch Invaders

Following after full time of the Ireland v Portugal match last night. There was talks of the pitch invaders would get fined. How is this possible? Surely the Courts of each nation don't heed to UEFA? I'm trying to understand the mechanism.

You're correct, they only power UEFA have is to impose a fine on the FAI. Who were threatening to imnpose a fine of €3,000 on that girl, Which they have since waived. Which they will probably regret the next time a swarm of youngsters run onto the pitch.
