Bosch double oven fan and element gone. Repair or bite the bullet

Our 5 yr old Bosch double oven HBM43B2.0B has recently lost the fan and the fan heating element. So the fan oven no longer works.

The conventional oven and top oven still work.

Aside from the fan part, the light in the main oven gave trouble from the start and despite replacing the light unit, it never could keep a bulb for more than a couple of days.

In light of all that, and the fact we use the oven every day, would it be economical to repair it or should we replace it?

Haven't had to replace a fan in an oven but I replaced the element in my fan oven for the price of parts - about €20.

If it's just the fan and element parts themselves and you can do it yourself it definitely makes economic sense to repair it.

I was onto Bosch and was basically told tough luck. Once the 2 yr warranty is up then it's a €100 call out fee for an engineer + parts .

I'm only assuming it's those items. Fan doesn't turn and no heat. Fan was always slow to get going so probably slowly died .
