What to use for boiler house ceiling?

I have a boiler house, detached from the house, it has a corrugated asbestos roof, 1980 style.

The corrugated roof panels are exposed to the interior of the shed, I would like to prettyfy the interior by attaching plasterboard to the bottom of the timbers supporting the corrugated sheets. I would not be disturbing or interfering with the corrugated asbestos sheets in any way.

Would standard plasterboard be ok to use in this situation?

The boiler is an internal boiler.

@Ricta How big is the boiler house. Will you use most of the plasterboard sheet? Is it weatherproof?

The outside measurements of the boilerhouse are 2.3M x 2.3M, I'll need a little less than two sheets, there will be one joint between sheets. It is weatherproof. There's a washing machine and dryer in there as well, I want to make it a cleaner, nicer looking space to be in, by putting in some material to form a ceiling. In a cost effective way (cheaply).

@Ricta in that case I'd say work away. I was just imagining it like my own, which would just about make a sentry box.

I don't see a problem with what you're planning. Someone may be along with more knowledge later.

    Best of luck.
