Winter shoes/boots with straight leg jeans

What do women wear with their straight leg jeans in winter? I've only recently got into straight leg jeans, as opposed to skinnies, and I've been wearing with sandals or converse-style runners. Now it's winter my feet and ankles are too cold! Any winter boots I already own I would wear over skinny jeans but that won't work…

What do women wear with their straight leg jeans in winter? I've only recently got into straight leg jeans, as opposed to skinnies, and I've been wearing with sandals or converse-style runners. Now it's winter my feet and ankles are too cold! Any winter boots I already own I would wear over skinny jeans but that won't work with these. I find the straight leg jeans so comfy, I'd hate to put them away for winter! I don't wear heals so I'm thinking flat ankle boots?? Any advice on what type etc.? I don't live near many shoe shops and won't have a day to go shopping so would prefer to order online if possible. Thanks!
