Tuning Saorview on LG C1

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of help as this is driving me mad... had a Sony TV with satellite and antenna inputs so got all the sat and saorview channels fine, then I got a new TV.

LG C1, it will tune the satellite stations fine but won't find any irish stations on the antenna, nothing. The coax is connected ok and it goes to an external antenna via a splitter for the satellite feed, and we're only a few k from threerock, and I've changed nothing with the antenna since the TV swap.

When trying to tune it stalls around UHF 30-34 then continues, I manually tuned in UHF 30 and it's showing 5% signal strength. I've tried setting it to cable or antenna and I've checked the location is ireland.

Anyone have any suggestions, I'm assuming it supports the saorview stations (right?)? I'm at my wits end, so any and all help appreciated.

5% signal strength means it is seeing a signal on that frequency but is way too low to be of any use.

Do you still have the Sony to test?

I would recheck all the connections at the TV end to ensure none of them have become undone, even partially. Maybe replace the coax between splitter and TV. Something might have been damaged during the swap over.

Does the built-in TV coax socket look ok to the eye and touch, I have a dodgy one on a TV here and occasionally requires a little wiggle for it to work if the TV has been moved.

I got a CX last year and I remember there is an option to scan for either Analogue or Digital channels, check that you are scanning for digital and not analogue.

Thanks very much, you were right, the antenna coax at the splitter end: although it looked ok from the outside when I unscrewed it the core was barely sticking out, snugged it back in and we're good.
