Rough idle / and during driving

A few days back my BMW F10 520D started idling rough and didn't sound great. Drove OK though.

Plugged in BMW diagnostic software and a couple of faults were there. One was on the exhaust pressure sensor before the DPF and another on the main battery being degraded.

So today i replaced the exhaust pressure pressure sensor and deleted adaptations. Same roughness. Decided to force a DPF regen. No difference.

There is a warning that DPF is approaching its expected life time but other DPF warnings / codes at all.

The fault code for the exhaust pressure sensor is gone now - so its fixed but perhaps not the cause of the roughness.

I doubt a running car would be impacted by a battery problem or it would cause roughness? Any ideas?

I seen recently too many cars with weak battery. The battery voltages should never drop under 12.4V (except cranking). Under 12.4V is that "magic" area where battery goes increased rate to bad. On last case full day drove car had only 12.1V (recently changed battery, working alternator). Not my business to ask how they drive or what else they made. Rough idle can be caused by too many things.

The roughness is noticeable at low speeds so not just idling. I'm going to get the battery changed anyway. Just hope that sorts it... If not without any faults being thrown on the computer may just book it in to garage to have a look.
