Just wondering if anyone has seen the Northern lights in or around Kilkenny in recent years. I seem to recall seeing the green glow low in the sky when I was very young, and my mother telling me it was the northern lights. I know they can be seen occasionally in NI.

It is technically possible but I have never heard of anyone seeing it so far south. There are alerts that you can sign up for to improve your chances

Yep, I seen them about 10 years ago. Hasn't been any big fluctuations in recent years from the sun. You can get alerts on your phone when it spikes

It's only a small chance but better than nothing.
