Firebird seems to be working as normal but radiators not coming on.

I have a firebird heating system and put it on last week for the first time since last winter. It came on and the musty smell of the radiators was mild. Then a few days later I went to put it on again and realised I was out of oil.

Forward to tonight, got oil a few days ago, turned on heater tonight and it came on seemingly as normal, but noticed later on that the radiators weren't warm. None of them. So I took it off the timer, and flicked all three switches to on and about half an hour later the problem was still the same.

What could be the cause of that?

If you ran out of oil then you may have an airlock between the oil tank and boiler, does the boiler stay on our does it cut out ?

There should be a circulating pump close to the boiler, check if it is running.

If it is none of these then your rads may need to be bled.

You might need to Suckit to get the air out. Boiler itself getting warm?

I'd imagine the circulating pump at the boiler has got stuck from lack of use, Screw off the silver cap, and give the impellor a twist with a flat head screwdriver.

Missed the part about running out of oil. The burner will probably need to be bled.
