    I'm preparing a form 11 return for 2020 / 2021 prelim via ROS.

    Is there a dedicated panel for PUP in 2020 or is it just lumped in as "Profit"?

    Profit assessable in 2020

    Amount of adjusted net profit for accounting period €xxx

    Amount of adjusted net loss for accounting period €xxx

    * Enter the assessable profit even if this is the same as the adjusted net profit above (if a loss enter 0) This should include income assessable under S. 98A(4), (Reverse Premiums in trading situations) where appropriate €xxx

    Income

    * Sales / Receipts / Turnover €xxx

    * Receipts from Government Agencies (GMS etc.) €xxx

    * Other Trading Income including tax exempt income €xxx

    Trading Account Items

    * Purchases €xxx

    * Gross Trading Profits/Losses (including other Trade Receipts/Income already listed in the previous section).Enter loss amount as a minus figure. €xxx

    In the paper version, its under employments / welfare / other taxable benefits.

    I'd expect the online version is similar

    The online version should populate anything like that.

    Yes, any cases we have seen the PUP is pre-populated into a frame just above the Social Welfare entries boxes and you then just input that amount ( if you agree with it ) into the box for social welfare payments.

    On Form 11 PUP should be entered on the PAYE Pensions 2 Tab, Social Welfare Payments,Benefits or Pensions Received,Other Taxable Social Welfare Benefits.

    As Stratvs has said if you are using a prepopulated Form the amount should be there and you just put it on If its not you still need to enter it.

    As above, it'll be interesting to see how actively Revenue follow up these PUP payments and that they are included on peoples returns as income. Was glad of it at the time for three months as things were very uncertain but ultimately it was income on which tax must be paid etc.

    For the record, in the ROS version form 11 return, I initially included the PUP as 'profit' but this was wrong. A few pages down it automatically added it in and included it in the tax calculation so I had to re-do the figures.

    Long story short, DO NOT include PUP as 'profit / income' on form 11, it is automatically calculated & added & taxed.

    My payment calculation was 400 more so check your bank statements.

    Here's where to fill it out.

    I've seen people with 3 different amounts. The amount Revenue thinks it is, the amount DSP thinks it is, and the amount the person thinks it is. Prob best to go on what you actually got
