An Post saying item sorted more than once

Hi,
my package arrived in Ireland, I payed the customs charges but it has been sorted twice and still no delivery! Is this normal , it’s from the uk and I want to make sure it wasn’t sent back to sender. As I’ve heard this happens a lot.
