Blocking up an external door

Hiya, I need to block to an external door in my kitchen. It's a cavity wall built in the 80's. I'm planning on adding wall ties to attach the blocks to the existing wall. Do I also need to tie the internal and external walls together? What's the best type of installation to add between the layers? Can you please advice me on how to incorporate a DPC?

The internal and external leaf will need to be tied with suitably sized SS ties alright.

DPC should be run in continuation with the existing DPC level of the surrounding walls and overlapping the existing as much as possible.

Insulation... what's between the cavity already; nothing I'd suspect? In my case there was an existing 50mm PIR board and I tight-fitted a 75mm board into the bricked-up window, retained by the ties. Does the door-frame have a return on the brick to close, or how is it closed, if at all? Mine had a return brick (a half of a solid block turned 90-degrees to close off the cavity) which I left in-place, but is effectively a cold-bridge.

Thanks for your advice. I'll be taking out the door frame this weekend so I take a closer look at how it's closed.
