Interesting Bug in iOS15.0.2

Just noticed that my 256GB iPhone Xs has 272GB available, despite being about half-full already. Everything works fine otherwise.

I can't find anything online about it, is it a known issue?

Yeah it’s been a known bug since the iOS 15 beta came out. I seen it mentioned on MacRumors and Reddit a good few times.

There was also a bug where it showed the incorrect storage being used by apps. Surprised it’s still not fixed in 15.0.2.

It seems to be creeping up every time I look - currently I have 281.67GB available 😃

Apparently it’s fixed in 15.1, which was just released yesterday.

It is.. but iPhone storage is stuck in at calculating....

Updated mine (took longer than it has ever done, and phone is really hot), but the issue is fixed, and the storage was calculated within seconds.
