I got the call earlier this morning, but it is now being reported on various platforms that Don Moore has died.

A true radio pioneer and a presenter of considerable skill, way ahead of his time when he first bounced across the Dublin airwaves in the early 70's'.

I wonder did any of his contemporaries that worked on the same stations as him and who are still on the radio today mention his death? Off the top of my head, that would include Declan Meehan, Ian Dempsey and Ronan Collins.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Don. I had the pleasure of working with Don at ARD. He was very supportive and a genuinely nice guy. Radio in Ireland would not have developed as it did without his vision, drive and influence.
