Exchange Australian Car and Bike license for an Irish one.

    Hi guys,

I need some advice from anyone who has done this...

I moved home from Oz after 8 years abroad, while I was over there I exchanged my UK licence for an Australian Victorian Driver's Licence.

While I was over there, I sat the motorbike test and passed. I currently hold the UK and Oz licences concurrently, as Victoria does not cancel the foreign licence upon exchange.

The Australian (Vic Roads) Licence has a restriction on the Motorbike part for Lams and No Pillion Passengers until the 20/10/2022 at which point it will be a full licence.

My question is, if I exchange my Australian Licence for an Irish Licence, will I be granted category A for the Motorbike part of the Licence?

I have contacted the NDLS but getting a definitive answer is like getting blood from a stone.

    Thanks

    Matthew
