Taking off door handle - how?

I have a door to a toilet, where the "outside" handle won't operate the open option, but the door can, thankfully, be opened from the "inside".

I went to take off the screws of the outside handle to have a look at it, but after removing all 4 screws, realised that the "plate" won't come off due to the door lock.

Its one of those ones that allows you open the lock using a 20c piece or whatever, but that part of the lock is keeping the plate in place, so I can't get at the innards of the lock.

Any ideas? TIA

Usually there are also two screws holding the lock in at the side of the door? Once they are removed you can to take handles out and lock will slide out. Maybe post up a picture?

there is usually a grub screw underneath the lock knob on the toilet side of lock that needs to be unscrewed to allow the knob to be removed. then the bar with the coin slot will slide out with the outside handle.

Thanks gents - got that open - need to replace the "barrel" so have ordered replacement !!

hi all, dunno if I was silly or not, but I put the door back together waiting for the spare parts.

They arrived, and now I cannot open that "grub screw". Its the tiniest of the Allen keys I have but won't grip this time round. I have tried the Allen key on another toilet door and its fine. Do I have to "drill out" that tiny screw?

I managed to get an allen bolt out with a Torx screwdriver, you could try that if you have one.

At work today, IT never stops, but will try when I get home. Actually, might be able to pick up a Torx here as don't think I have one.
