Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is anyone still receiving Fransat on Eutelsat 5W  and if so can you say what size dish is now needed? I'm in Kildare. Thanks.

Dundalk 1.1 m dish, not well aligned at present.

11678 V 7.5 dB, the other transponders between 9.5 and 10.5. Lots of free radio stations, but all the TV channels are encrypted.

The advantage of Fransat over Tntsat is that the cards never expire and a cam is available ,unlike Tntsat.( Cards last 4 years, no Pcmcia module.)

I have a 1.2m Gilbertini north of Galway City and an Inverto Quad Ultra Black LNB. The multistream frequencies improve in the evening (12733) but suffer badly from rain fade - they disappear. Some of the other transponders are ok (11096) but weaker since they moved to the Transalpine beam. The other multistream transponder on 12648 is weak but can be received all day - if it stays dry out. I cant get 12733 all day only in evening, dish probably needs tweaking - I have read that 0.5 degree adjustment can make an improvement - but doubt if it will this far west. I have a Fransat receiver and card - 1st one expired after 4 years.. had to get replacment on amazon.fr. So they do NOT last indefinitely any longer - they were advertised initially as doing so but this has changed as the security features of the cards were updated and so necessitated replacement - they switched old cards off.
