    Like a lot of things insurance related - it depends.

    I'd ask your existing insurer firstly, and then consult an expert in the area.

    I think most people just don't have the correct insurance and food manufacturers just farm out the liabilities to the drivers as real insurance and delivery costs should be very high. That's not to say it can't be go, but many motorbike deliveries etc. don't have the proper insurance. Gardai are stopping delivery drivers and checking they have actual policy that covers deliveries. The crash rate is very high, with young drivers, driving at night not sure where they are going. It's a reason many places don't have their own vans.
