Road signage symbol near airport?

Would anyone know what the black inverted triangle symbol in an orange coloured box indicates?. You would see them on signage where Airport is written around Dublin airport. Not sure if these symbols are around other airports.

As far as I know they are diverted routes from the M50 so if there's an incident you follow those symbols to eventually get you back on to the M50 and onwards with your journey.

Yep. That's exactly it. Different routes have different symbols all over the m50 and surrounds. Was a big campaign about it when they were introduced
