Looking to move house … within the next 9-12 months

    Hi all

looking for advice as we are hoping to move in the next 9-12months. Here’s our situation:

we owe 200k on our home (15 years left on mortgage) but have inherited 230k. We’re on a tracker mortgage.

we want to buy a detached/semi-d four bed s/w orientation house but there aren’t any in either castleknock or dunboyne in our budget (approx 550-600k).

my question is on wether we should put our house on the market, apply to port our mortgage or wait until we find a property to suit us? We don’t really have anywhere to stay if we sell our house without buying another one the same day …

any advice on this whole process would be greatly appreciated … also can we get our house valued before getting it ready to be photographed etc for sale?

sorry if these are silly Qs but we’ve never did it before

    cheers
