If you buy a company report from CRO does the company know? Is that the best way to find directors?

The company will not know. There are various providers (Solocheck, Visionnet, etc) but for a once off report the CRO website is as easy as any.

It is a "Business name - Body Corporate" that is not a limited company is it?

Does certificate of registration tell directors names?

This sounds like it is a business name registered by a limited company. If you search under the business name you should see a form RBN1B. This will give you the name of the company (Body Corporate). This form itself will most likely be signed by one of the company directors (so you will have that name). If you want more details you can then do a search under the company name.
