Changing robes

My husband and I used to be fairweather outdoor swimmers but this year we kept up our sea swimming into the autumn and hope to Carry on into the winter. We have towelling robes that were great during the summer but now aren’t doing the job of getting us warm quickly. We want to get some of the serious changing robes but we don’t have the budget for dry robes. I’ve been looking at Irish made ones and they are still a bit more pricey then I’d hoped. I did read that dunnes had them for €80 but they seem to have all gone in my local one and I can’t even see them on the website.

however I saw a big rail in Penny’s that we’re labelled “waterproof coat” and they look very much like any of the changing robes I’ve seen. It’s over sized, waterproof outer fleece lining even the inside pockets they all seem to have.

has anyone seen them or better still used one? They are €50 so considerably cheaper then all the others but I’m worried it would be a false economy.
