How to keep two zones with Hive

i have a grasslin programmer with a single heating and a single hot water output. I have two zones controlled by thermostats upstairs and downstairs using actuated valves which switch using the live from the programmer. The live runs to upstairs thermostat and this then loops to downstairs.

if I install a hive unit my heating will be on or off depending on my hive thermostat (downstairs) which will control the one live from the programmer. (I know I will need to wire the valves to the live not the switch from existing thermostats). I will loose my zones and heating will always be on both upstairs and downstairs!

does anybody know how I can get a smart system in place and still control the values for each zone with only the one live from the programmer? Is there a smart system that has wired thermostats that can control the valves?

    thanks for any help.
