I was visiting my parents at the weekend and when I tried to pick their terrier up he squealed like he was in pain, I've often picked him up before without any issues. He seems very bloated and he has a wart-like lump on his back. I think they might be overfeeding him as he growls for a treat after every walk, is it likely…

Really the only way to know would be take the dog for a checkup?

He has to go in soon to get the wart removed and his claws trimmed, he has to be sedated for that though.

I had a small dog who squealed like this when picked up she had a cancer tumour in her body and had to have a huge lump removed.
