I can't see this being discussed yet (dreadful search function on this new Boards). Anyway, the seminal British videogame gameshow, Gamesmaster is due to return/revival to our screens on E4 later this year. New host, Robert Florence will be taking the reins, alongside a couple of fellow videogame experts. For those who don't know, Florence is used to host his own online/TV videogame series in Consolevania and Video Gaiden, so he has some pedigree. It is as yet unknown who will be stepping into the role of Gamesmaster himself in lieu of the late Patrick Moore. Maybe Dominik Diamond himself is lined up for the role? I guess we'll see.

Anyway, it's about time some proper videogame content came back on our screens. It'll be interesting to see how they tweak the format to suit the age we're in and it'll be presumably targeting a much older demographic than the original. Looking forward to it.

If it cannot be Diamond, then I don't think Trevor McDonald is a bad pick at all. He certainly fits the bill in terms of being a fusty elder statesman of TV who, ironically, probably hasn't the first notion about computer games. I was slightly worried they'd make some panel show perennial, like bearded comedian Joe Wilkinson, the Gamesmaster, to make some witty yet utterly soulless quips.
