It depends on the reasoning and state of the thread. PM the mod for the forum it's in, and explain the reasoning to them.

Right now, there isn't an easy answer to that one. It's no longer shown below the forum with Vanilla. Check the charter of the forum in question, or check the last post in any closed threads to see if the mod commented.
