Commando comics subscription

Just wondering if anyone here has taken out a physical Commando subscription, and if yes, how the delivery service is (for example, do they reach your house (in Ireland!) a week before they hit the shops)? And also, how are they packaged? (Clear packaging or in a box, etc).

if they are coming the UK, you would more than likely have to pay VAT plus the €3.50 An Post fee for every delivery.

Gosh I hope not! A friend of mine said he ordered some comics from the DC Thomson website recently and they arrived around 18 days later with no extra charges from An Post.

I also found this exemption on the Revenue website:

To answer my own question, they are despatched by DC Thomson in clear plastic and, in some cases at least, routed from the Netherlands, thereby apparently circumventing the customs / VAT issue.

I have seen a few issues of Commando in Easons recently.

I had they are reprints but are they new stories?

Four are published every fortnight. Of those, two are reprints from the 1960s to the 1990s, and two are new stories.
