Hiring a cleaner

    Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post this.

We have decided to go ahead and hire a cleaner for a couple of hours a fortnight, but am looking for some advice.

The plan at the moment would be cleaning bathroom and ensuite, kitchen, sitting room, hallway, cleaning windows and washing down doors occasionally.

Would anyone be able to advise on the going rate? I presumed I'd be providing cleaning supplies but was advised by someone else that cleaners usually bring their own.

Any advice would be appreciated. We're based in the Midlands.

are you going to insist on the cleaner having their own insurance in place, was always a worry for me.

You’ll be looking at €13- €14 per hour for a private cleaner.

If you go with a cleaning comply, up that to about €18 per hour.
