Hi all, I have got a result upgraded today giving me 12 extra points. I missed out on my preferred course in Round 1 but now have more than enough points for it.

I rang the College that I was hoping to go to and they said they have to process new results and then see if there is a space on my course, I should hear by Tues.

Can they refuse to give me a space until next year? A couple of questions in my written exam were clearly wrongly marked , it seems unfair that a student is so badly penalised due to someone else's mistake.

If they hold a place for me next year do I have to leave the course I am in now?, (different college). I really do not want to take a year out.

Ideally I would like to be offered the course starting asap. It will be hard starting late, having missed Fresher's Week and everyone starting to make friends. I am settling well into the college I'm in so this have thrown a real curve ball.
