    Anyone bought tyres online recently?

Just wondering if they are taking longer than usual to arrive given all the talk about lack of truck drivers etc.

Last time I bought off of eiretyres it took about 2 weeks. (pre-covid)

I've an NCT coming up on 3rd of November so would like to have em before that.

    Thanks

I ordered tyres on Tyreleader on the 13th August and they were delivered on the 19th August by DPD.

I know it was a good few weeks back and a different online supplier than eiretyres.

They have a contact section that are pretty quick at getting back to you ( they responded to my query in an hour or so). You can ask them about their current lead times.

Don't order from UK, you'll be fine.

Sites oponeo.ie (ship from Poland), eire-tyres.com (from Germany) or tyreleader (it's a company based in Andora, but AFAIK they usually ship from France) will typically deliver within a week.

I'm not sure about Pneus Online, GigaTyre and TyresGuru or 123Tyre - cannot be bothered to check it for you ;) I would avoid Camskill, I don't even know if they ship to Eire at all.

Depends on where they are being shipped from. Most of the large online tyre retails have warehouses across Europe. Sometimes one or two tyres in the same order can be shipped from different locations depending on stock availability.

Camskill are UK based and only sell to EU customers now post brexit if you arrange your own courier to collect them, in other words just forget it, not worth the bother.

I ordered from Tyreleader last week and they came from Germany in 6 days so was happy out. 2nd time using them and they are cheaper then the rest for me anyway!

Have you received them as yet?

    How long did it take?

I've used tyreleader twice in the past year. They were the cheapest at the time and delivered in less than a week.

Yep, they arrived last wednesday and thursday.. in two lots.. two at a time.

So.. 19th to the 28th.. whats that .. nine days? But with a long weekend in there.. so 7 working days

Pretty good really in this day and age.

Got a great deal on fitting and balancing.. 50 euro for all four... Big shout out to DK Tyres in Athenry there...

Other places were 15 a tyre and when they started on about a recycling fee for the old tyres I just hung up...

    So, yeah.. Tyreleader.ie .. recommended...
