Magnat 8010701 subwoofer not working on Denon PMA600NE amp

    Hello,

    I have a Denon PMA600NE and connected my Magnat 8010701 with an RCA Audio Cable 2RCA Phono Male to 3.5mm Male Headphone Jack. This does not work. Any ideas? I have been told that a 3.5mm jack does not differ from an RCA male. But all I hear is a soft hum from the subwoofer.

    Any ideas? Should I try a different cable with RCA male on both ends?

    You should use a cable with a single RCA plug on each end to connect the “subwoofer out” in the amp to the “LFE In” on the sub.

    Thanks. I don't see the LFE in on the sub though. Maybe I am missing something.

    The red RCA socket on the sub has the words “Line in” printed underneath, this where to plug in the rca cable. It’s sometimes described as “LFE in” same thing.

    Yes, thats where I connected the cable to. But that didnt work. I fixed it though, the 3.5mm jack doesnt work on the RCA out for the sub. So an adapter fixed it. Banging tunes now.

    Let me understand - you sticked 3.5mm jack into the RCA socket?!

    @grogi ,

    I don’t think that question needs an answer…..

    @Poncke ,

    Glad you got it sorted, an RCA to RCA cable is the best choice for that kind of connection but if it’s working with an adapter then you’re good to go.
