    Ms

In the last couple of months where I live the power has gone at least 3 times. Not so bad when it's not dark but when it's dark and you just want to relax catch up on your TV programs and it goes that is a pain in the hole.

So what is yours like? When was the last time it went down on you?

    Peace and long life.

went off twice in the last 5 or so years… both planned outages so had plenty of notice.

    North Dublin/Fingal.

Live in Ennis, we’ve lost power I think twice in the last 15 years. Once was during a bad storm, but half the county was out that time. Relatively new estate, so power lines are all underground.

Where I’m from in Dublin (9) probably gets two or three power cuts a year. 80 year old estate, so power is all on overhead lines.

Maybe 10 cuts per year. Countryside.

I can't remember the last time the power went that wasn't a planned outage tbh. Dublin City centre.

A couple of planned outages in five years and one fault about two years ago. Rural area.

The fault was sorted in less than half an hour.

Not even the huge storms in recent years cut it. Urban.

You should contact ESB Networks about that. They have a customer charter that refunds customers for multiple unplanned outages or outages that take longer than the SLA.

Maybe a fault a year including storms on average in the different parts of town I've lived in. On top of that probably an average planned outage every 2-3 years.

Maybe three unplanned outages in nine years. Wasn't in the house for one of them

My parents area in the same town is vastly more unreliable for whatever reasons. Two or three a year there.

They're newer houses and both are underground supplies so no obvious reason as to why

    Not always.

I have seen UPS reading an input of anything from 231v to 242v.

IOL in this area (instant on lighting), its pretty good, theres almost no delay between hitting the switch and the lights coming on.
