Collector General taking money that he didn't before

    Hey

Apologies if this is a dense query but I am baffled.

I've just gone to pay my tax bill (I own & rent an apartment), and I believed I owed €2958. However on my statement of liabilities it stated I only owed €1458. I read through my form 11 and think I found out why. It appears in 2020 I paid €1500 to the collector general, whereas in 2019 I paid nothing. Below is a pic of the relevant piece of my Form 11 - top line is 2019, bottom line is 2020.

I had two quick questions - 1) Do I only owe €1458? and 2) Why would the collector general take €1500 in 2020 but nothing in 2019? And was this just shaved off my monthly wages without me noticing?

Again, if I seem stupid, please forgive me - I very much just give all the figures to my accountant and then pay the bill, I find it all a bit complex. :)
