    each way picks for today..

    5.50 Redcar Machree 20/1

A 3 times course and distance winner from 3 visits to the course. Can make a bold bid from the front.

    4.48 Chester

Nothing with outstanding claims here. The bottom-weight Port Or Starboard is interesting at a decent price on only his third run. He came 2nd over a similar trip lto at Hamilton on soft-heavy going. May not be good enough today, so will reluctantly overlook him. Have gone for two outsiders here in a race where the draw might not be so important, as it looks as if there are a few can try make all.

    Madeeh 50/1

Going for this 5 yr old on account of him taking a massive drop in the weights, and he's back down into a Class five for the first time in close to a year. Is drawn in twelve, but will hope this won't be a massive inconvenience. Soft ground a bit of an unknown though. Hasn't performed well when tried on it before, but those were in higher grade races.

    Proton 20/1

Not much in the line of form as of late. He has ran well before on soft, and I'm banking on this being key to his chances. Won over hurdles at Ludlow on soft-heavy in February, and has a decent draw in four.

    Gluck

Fearby in the 14.20 at Newmarket - 3/1

Diligent Harry in the 15.15 at Ascot - 9/1

A few coppers on the double too.

Tatsumaki has just pistol-whipped them at Newmarket.

Very, very impressive. One I'll be following.
