Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have a 98 fiat ducato. Passed the cvrt recently.

However scuttle box has come away from engine and needs welding.

Brought to mechanic in Clare and they are pricing between 2 and 3000 for the job . Says there is significant corrosion on chassis legs and in different areas.

Anyone know anyone who has done this before that has been reasonable enough?

It passed cvrt 2 months ago, and I know it has a little work to be done but was hoping more around the 1000 euro mark

https://jebbtools.ie/products/sip-autoplus-180x-inverter-mig-welder-gas-gasless?_pos=6&_sid=b915d6261&_ss=r Would you consider doing a bit yourself. If you tackled the non structural bits and prepped the chassis legs you would significantly reduce your bill. You need not limit yourself to a garage for welding, is there not a qualified welder around your area that you could approach. I have done a few restorations myself and bought a mig a couple of years ago, I am so comfortable using it now but there is a local professional welder near me that I would for safety call on if there was structural work to be done.
