Going to Paris for a work trip and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a non-rip off bar in central paris.

I had a look at the hotel bar and a small bottle of beer is 8 euro in one bar and 16 euro in the other!!!

You might want to narrow down your area.

I found a few places €5.00 a pint on my last visit. Some during happy hour and some the pint was muck.

I miss the James Joyce, the #1 Ryanair bar in the world. Now it’s a strange Canadian bar.

google maps, search Irish bar and off you go, if you don’t like the first one, then keep moving. The further way from tourist traps, the cheaper the beer will be.

and remember it’s Paris, so be aware of pick pockets or dropped items on the street such as keys or rings. Just keep walking.

Paris is not a city for lots of pints so pick a nice place and enjoy. Pints in many places in Dublin are now 6.50 so not a big difference.

A place I like is Bugsys but perhaps not that convenient for your hotel https://www.bugsys.fr/en/home-english/

Good grub and reasonable prices. I think they have a happy hour also.

The Highlander is a good spot too. They do happy hour etc. Don't think it's too far from the Eiffel Tower.

Agree with the James Joyce bar- we went in and were very disappointed. Dirty place as well!
