Taking two busses in Galway city on one journey - Leap card fare?

Say you take a bus that terminates in Eyre Square, but you want to transfer to a different bus route and go to Salthill.

Example: 403 or 409 or 404, then transfer in Eyre Square onto 401 to Salthill.

    What is the fare?

Are transfers allowed on the EUR 1.96 fare from Oranmore, onwards to Salthill?

    Thanks.

No transfers - two separate fares.

If making multiple individual bus trips, the 24 hour ticket may be of use costing EUR 4.80.

There has been talk of a 90 min fare coming in but no idea what the status of that is

That is only in Dublin - Not in Galway which is what the OP is asking about.

"That is only in Dublin - Not in Galway which is what the OP is asking about."

It really should apply to the other cities too.

We'd rather like the daily fare-capping thing, too.

OTOH, it is handy being able to get a monthly ticket which is not thru TaxSaver.

While daily capping is one thing, at the very least the 24-hour ticket is a true 24-hour ticket, and not a daily ticket like when it was first introduced around 2009-10, finishing in validity on last bus. Once got two days' worth of travel by activating it around 3-4pm and using it that evening and the following morning - about €13 in single tickets out of a €4-sth ticket.
