Hi, Son has started 1st yr primary teaching and very concerned about making right choice for his 2 optional modules. Seems as though history, music, and religion are out as he didnt study either in school. That leaves him with Geog, Irish, English or maths. Unlikely to do maths as did Ordinary Level at school. Anyone know if any modules have a reputation of being that bit easier? Hes worried about picking something he wont be able for. Do these modules last the whole year? Many thanks for any advice.

I would suggest that if he made the requirements to get into primary teaching, he should be able to manage the modules (obviously assuming he can't do those that he didn't study at school).
