    Afternoon All,

Do you have any ideas where I can get SDS drill bits for metal. Most of the drill bits iv'e seen are for masonry.

I have several of those masonry but I'm looking for SDS drill bits for metal and steel. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Some sds bits say they are ok for reinforced concrete so will drill through the reinforcing metal, is that what you mean.

Otherwise why do you want an sds bit for metal, the main point of sds is that it is effective at drilling concrete because of the hammer action, there would be no reason to use hammer action on metal so there wouldn't be sds metal bits.

Just use normal metal drill bits.

SDS bitsa are for masonary, not steel, hammer action will kill steel bits and you..

Get an SDS chuck, turn off the hammer action and use steel bits.
