    Hi,

I just lined my shed with 12mm WPB plywood. I’ve sanded it down and put the first coat of ronseal knot block wood primer and undercoat. Ill apply some polyfilla to some of the gaps between the sheets and I’ll be sanding this slightly and applying another coat of this.

I have some dulux wall and ceiling Matt finish paint left over from work we got done in the house a few weeks back. Could I use this?

What’s the best white paint to use on top of this for plywood in a steel shed. Any links for woodies or B&Q be great.

    Thanks in advance.

Do not use wall and ceiling paint on wood. I would strongly advise against using pollyfilla. It will crack and chip.

If gaps is only a couple of mm wide use wood filler or (if painting rather than staining or varnishing) use decorators caulk. If gaps are wider use wooden trim piece, (25 to 40mm x 3mm flat pieces) laid over the joints.

As for painting use an oil paint, marked for interior or exterior wood and metal or use a stain or varnish (even a floor varnish) it all depends on the finish (and quality of finish) you want.

I ended up using caulk for small gaps. I used wood paint and the finish is fantastic. Very happy how it turned out.
