court report of a murder trial

Is there any way to get information of a murder trial from the 1980's more detailed than media. Are judgements available anywhere. Is judgement the proper term for the full outline of the case?

Take a look at courts.ie.

There are also many services that provide such info at a cost. If you have a 3rd level student in the family they can usually access the paid legal databases via their institution. Westlaw and lexis etc.

There generally isn't a "full judgment" in a murder trial - just a jury verdict of "guilty" or "not guilty". If there's a subsequent appeal then there'll be a reasoned judgment from the appeal judges on the questions raised in the appeal.

@Peregrinus has already outlined why there would not be a judgement in a murder trial, as regards costs for accessing the DBs, depending on which one is used it is €1000 average per year.
