Problem with Triton T90SR

    Hi

I've started having trouble with a 7 month old Triton T90SR. The shower only seems to heat up when the dial is at about 80% max temp.

This happens with both the I & II flow settings. If the temp is turned down you can hear the heating turn off and the shower runs cold.

I was wondering if this could be a TCO issue or if there's an issue with the heating elements?

I rang Triton who said if it's a limescale issue it's not covered. We do have an issue with limescale and our water softener needs replacing but I wouldn't have thought that after 7 months there would be that big a build up of limescale.

I'd appreciate an suggestions as to what the issue could be.

    Thanks

I'd call out triton. If it's a faulty element then they will replace it free of charge. If it's limescale then you will need a new element anyway. They will replace the element but charge you in this case. With the bottom dial never moving you should feel a big difference when switching top dial from one two elements. If there is no change in temperature then I'd suggest not limescale. Sounds like blown element of micro switch

Thanks for the info, I'll book a call out with Triton.

This sounds like a similar problem to mine. My shower gets hot, but again only at almost max temperature on the 2 setting.
