Galway county council housing offer

Got a letter about 3 weeks ago offering us a council house.

They say they are doing up the contract, calculating rent etc. and it could be anything from "a few days to a few weeks" before we hear more from them.

Does this mean we definitely have the house? If so I'm assuming that we will be called in to sign the contract. Is it at this point we get the keys? And does anyone know how much of a deposit we will need to pay? Its a 3 bedroom bungalow.

    Thanks

    No deposit.

But it may have no furniture, flooring or window coverings. Or it may.

Yeah they told us they're not doing viewings but we could go "look in the windows" and it does look to be bare concrete floors and no curtains up, so we are prepared for that!

Hoping we can get a loan to cover the essentials!
