Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi folks, apologies if there is a thread on this query already but hey, I can't search for it..

So anyway, just had some Cadbury's Dairy Milk there - a few squares from a 200g bar.. and I think its even more different to the new normal.. hard to describe - but kinda like a bitter/burnt after taste at the end - and finishes with a sharp unpleasant sweetness too.. anyone else notice this with Dairy Milk?

Pretty much every variant except the 8 square bars (still made in Coolock on old processes, I believe) are utterly awful now, with the 8 square ones only being slightly awful. Cheap soy based muck.

really is that the case? wow.. I buy a 100g bar of Milk Choc with Hazelnut from LIDL and its much nicer than what I had this eve by far! Actually, is the LIDL 90/100g (which ever it is), of Cadbury's Dairy Milk made in Coolock too? Cos I get it from time to time as well and not noticed it been as bad as this 200g one.

Both Aldi and Lidl make 200g not 90 or 100g unless you want specialist choclate.I have never bought small bars (8 square)of Cadburys Dairy Milk-does it actually say on the wrapper that it's made in Coolock? I assumed Coolock has shut down years ago and production transferred to Bournville in the UK.

Haven't eaten cadburys in a few years after many disappointing revisits, recently had a caramilk which is obviously blended/mixed, that was nice but it's not pure chocolate which i still won't bother with.. Started with a weird, terribly claggy sticky feeling in the mouth after eating and an overly sweet aftertaste that became bitter somehow.

Yeah Cadburys not as nice as it used to be.

Some of the Lidl chocolate is very nice though. The caramelised almond and sea salt one is delicious

My 200g comment is not about Cadburys on sale in Lidl or Aldi nor is it about any Cadburys in A or L.

Bourneville has been downscaled more than coolock really, with production moved to Poland.

The JD Gross range from Lidl or the Moser Roth range from Aldi are the way to go. Great selection of Flavours and cocoa% available.
